"Dr. Anna Y. Chan (she/her) earned her degree from Texas A&M and currently serves as a Hospital Medical Leader specializing in dentistry, pain management and acupuncture. Born in Hong Kong at a time when pets were not common, her natural affinity for animals still shone through—as a child, she always preferred stuffed animals to dolls. When her family relocated to the United States and welcomed a dog into their home, her first visit to a vet clinic solidified her decision to become a veterinarian. Dr. Chan has found her true home in Austin, where she loves the vibrant culture and easy-going atmosphere. Outside of work, she enjoys arts and crafts, soccer and cooking. Dr. Chan shares her life with five pets, most of whom are named after Star Wars characters and food items: four rescue cats—Mando, Commander Cody, Aurora and Porchy Bear—and a Chihuahua mix named Agedashi."
