Simparica TRIO® (sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: See Prescribing Information. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures. Simparica Trio contains sarolaner, a member of the isoxazoline class, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures in dogs with or without a history of neurologic disorders. The safe use of Simparica Trio has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. The most frequently reported adverse reactions in clinical trials were vomiting and diarrhea.

HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel)IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Following the use of HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel) in dogs, digestive and neurologic side effects and itching have been reported. Safe for puppies 6 weeks of age or older with no weight restrictions. All dogs should be tested for heartworm infection before starting a preventive program. NexGard® (afoxolaner)IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: NexGard® (afoxolaner) is for use in dogs only. Safe for use in puppies 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 4 pounds or more. The most frequently reported adverse reactions include vomiting, itching, lethargy, diarrhea, and lack of appetite. The safe use of NexGard in pregnant, breeding, or lactating dogs has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. Dr. Ward is a dedicated professional whose journey in veterinary medicine began with a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma, followed by earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Her passion for animal care led her to Portland, Oregon, where she achieved Certification in Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS).
After a decade in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Ward returned to her roots in Tulsa, Oklahoma, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a commitment to compassionate care. She resides in Broken Arrow with her beloved long-haired dachshund, Solo, and buff-blonde cat, Peanut, surrounded by a menagerie of thriving plants.
Dr. Ward finds fulfillment in the mental challenges and emotional rewards of veterinary medicine, with particular interests in geriatric care, ophthalmology, and dentistry. Actively involved in her profession, she is pursuing Fear-Free Certification and remains an engaged member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She continues to integrate acupuncture into her practice, enriching the lives of her patients.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Ward enjoys delving into historical fiction, honing her knitting skills, pursuing various wine certifications, and exploring distant locales through travel. She eagerly anticipates the opportunity to welcome both you and your cherished pet to Vetco Total Care.
