West Melbourne Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital at Petco

The manager Beth was an absolute horror to work with regarding the care of my dog! My dog is now scared when I raise my hand!!! His nails were even clipped to the quick! he has never showed this behavior before, please anyone reading this beware of her I think she may have done egregious things to my pup! I've even witnessed her yelling at her employees?! please avoid this establishment if you can help it!

I am beyond disappointed in this establishment. The management was, to say it as nice as possible, a mess! I hate to see management treat their employees unfairly and the fact that I could hear that going on is not ok. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. This issue needs to be fixed soon.

This is not my usual vet, but I took my cat just to get a routine fecal test for parasites because my vet was unavailable. As soon as I got there they told me that they had to change my appointment type to “emergency” (so they could charge more, obviously) because I commented that I wanted to get him checked sooner rather than later because I knew he had been around a cat who had tested positive for hookworms and nothing else. The test supposedly (I say supposedly because I was never shown the results) came back saying he was positive for a different parasite entirely that 1) he had no symptoms of; 2) is highly contagious to other animals and my dog had no symptoms of; 3) that he couldn’t have caught because he had no way to be exposed to it. So I didn’t go pick up the meds they wanted to put him on and instead took my cat to his regular vet to get him re-checked a few days later, because I didn’t trust this place… What do you know, his vet tested him and he was NEGATIVE for ALL parasites! They tested my dog as well who was also negative. I was physically shown the test results at my regular vet that showed both as negative. Vetco were going to make me give my cat medication for something that he didn’t have, and they wanted me to take my dog to get checked too, likely so they could tell me he had the same exact thing and give him meds he didn’t need too. I’m still in shock that this happened and I’ll never come back to this vet again. I highly recommend questioning EVERYTHING they tell you because they obviously don’t care about your animals, and will lie just to make more money off of you by exploiting the love and care you have for your pet. And by the way, to add insult to injury, getting two animals tested at their regular vet was still significantly cheaper than just getting my cat checked here.

Terrible management that doesn’t care about ur animals

We were so lucky to have come across Dr. Ashley Willet at Melbourne Total Care. Our English Bulldog, Chef, has been suffering from stomach issues that began this past year. He has been seen by various vet’s.. Our family, appreciated Dr. Ashley Willet’s time and sensitivity to his issue and Chef especially thanks her for making him feel better.

been a few times with my cats and each time had a terrible experience with the manager. each time she argued about my cats care and refused my input.

Went in to have my cat checked since he was urinating on my couch and wasn’t sure if he had another urine blockage. They asked me to get a urine sample from him and I did the next day. Waited to be called about the result but that call never came. Luckily my cat is fine but this vet clinic doesn’t seem reliable to me. I also did not vibe with the vet who looked at my cat, I could just sense he didn’t take my concern seriously. I will not be coming back here.

A huge shout out to Annika, when I tell you she went above and beyond my whole visit today, she really did. My kitten had surgery where he was sent with a cone that did not fit which led to him to him eating his stitches. Annika really came to the rescue at my next appointment had cones that fit already lined up before I could get there, Something that should have been done the first place. She cleaned up everyone's mess with a smile. Her personality is perfect and honestly should be in corporate with how well she handled my situation. She deserves a raise. She is the only reason I will return to a Vetco.
