DR. LAURA HUMASON
Dr. Laura Humason is a full-time veterinarian at Vetco Total Care in Chico, CA. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Ross in 1995 and has since gained extensive experience in large and small animal medicine, shelter medicine and emergency medicine in relief work.
From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Humason operated a mobile veterinary practice in Butte County, collaborating with Animal Control to provide vital services to the community. Growing up in a family dedicated to medicine—her father was a human doctor—she knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
At home, Dr. Humason shares her life with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds and fish. In her free time, she enjoys oil painting, reading, hiking and exploring her creative side. She loves giving back to her community and previously volunteered at the local human hospital.
