Many varieties of freshwater fish come in an array of colors, making it easy to customize your aquarium's look and feel. First-time pet parents often choose to take home a betta, as they are beautiful to look at and make a great species for those getting started with aquarium keeping. Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

I was told this place closed at 9pm by google maps and Apple Maps. I waited outside because I got a brand new hamster who was t going in his sleeping hide out so I thought I needed a new one, when the assistant manager offered to show me her phone that says they closed an hour ago. In a supervisory position you should honor the closing time that is posted especially when it would’ve taken me 5 minutes to grab an igloo. Photos taken after she refused that it says 9 even though I have an adequate reading level whether she dismissed what I was saying or not, is there a supervisor who can correct the online time and respect the fact that I bent over backwards to make it there?

Dog grooming

We took our golden doodle to have a grooming at Oceanside Petco. We gave specific instructions as to what we wanted to have trimmed. Two hours later when we picked her up our beautiful golden doodle was butchered chopped up a terrible terrible job. The groomer was off on break so we could not question her as to why she did this to our beautiful puppy. A terrible terrible experience at this specific Petco and we will never again bring our golden doodle puppy to be groomed at this location and I would advise anyone to be aware of the terrible jobs that they do there.
