Veterinarian Spotlight
DR. LINDSEY BLEVINS

Dr. Lindsey Blevins (she/her) is an Associate Veterinarian with a passion for primary care, serving the Manhattan, KS, community. A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Blevins brings a wealth of knowledge and a heartfelt commitment to her dog and cat patients and their parents.
Dr. Blevins's journey into veterinary medicine began at a young age with her love of animals and anatomy (ask her about her chicken brain story!). After experiencing a series of heartbreaking losses, she developed a deeper appreciation for the bond shared by pets and the humans who love them. She completed her veterinary education at Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
A Manhattan resident, Dr. Blevins enjoys the unique charm of this perfectly sized "big small town." She returned to the area because she met her spouse and received her veterinary education here, but the lasting friendships and connections formed over the past 15 years have made this her home.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Blevins enjoys bird watching and practicing yoga, although her three children keep her very busy. She shares her home with a diverse group of pets: three dogs—JV (a Pomapoo too small to make the varsity team), Baymax (a Labradoodle who can’t sit close enough) and Wall-E (an Old Scotch Collie who's an avid squirrel watcher); two cats— Mimi (who was perfectly content as an only cat) and Sawyer (who just wants Mimi to love him); and a variety of fish and chickens.Dr. Blevins is also actively involved in her community as a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego, KS, where she serves on the Fellowship Committee.
DR. JULIE FRESE

Dr. Frese’s passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age, and she went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She believes the bond shared by pets and their humans is a special gift, and she is committed to helping pets and their parents maintain a healthy, fulfilling relationship.
Dr. Frese currently lives and practices in Manhattan, Kansas, where she and her husband met in veterinary school. They returned to the area when he (also a veterinarian) pursued his PhD at Kansas State University. Together, they have raised their family in this vibrant and welcoming town, which they continue to call home.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Frese enjoys spending quality time with her family—both human and animal. She and her husband have three children and share their home with three dogs, three cats, a hamster, assorted fish and a small flock of chickens.
