    Dr. Laura Downey is a Hospital Veterinarian at the Petco veterinary hospital in Whitestown, a graduate of Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine with 35 years of experience in practice. She treats mainly dogs and cats, with additional training in exotic and avian care, and offers a strong range of dentistry services alongside spay and neuter surgery and limited soft tissue procedures. Dr. Downey is drawn to the problem-solving side of medicine, working closely with pet owners to find solutions suited to their animal's specific needs, and she focuses first on prevention and wellness before translating complex issues into plans owners can act on. Outside the clinic, she enjoys horseback riding.
