"Dr. Charles Andersen is a dedicated veterinarian with a strong passion for internal medicine and a deep commitment to supporting the human-animal bond. Currently a Hospital Medical Leader at Vetco Total Care in Fort Collins and Greeley, Dr. Andersen’s primary area of interest is internal medicine, where he focuses on diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions in dogs and cats. He is a USDA Category II Accredited Veterinarian and has been an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association for over seven years.Dr. Andersen previously worked with Pets Forever, a nonprofit that supported elderly or disabled individuals and their pets, and seeing the strength and importance of the human-animal bond inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.Dr. Andersen completed both his undergraduate studies and veterinary education at Colorado State University. He enjoys the location's exceptional outdoor recreational opportunities and his personal ties to the area; his wife and her family are based in Denver.Outside of his veterinary work, Dr. Andersen is actively involved in his community. He plays hockey in the Fort Collins adult hockey league; enjoys outdoor activities such as snow skiing, hiking and camping; and values spending time with friends and family. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Wyoming, where he teaches ROTC cadets, and is an active member of the United States Army Reserves."
