Many varieties of freshwater fish come in an array of colors, making it easy to customize your aquarium's look and feel. Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Update Online Hours

I placed an online order for a bag of dog food and a harness. I chose this specific store, passing two stores along the way, because this one has the specific harness. I got here at 6pm, an hour before the store allegedly closes according to the website, only to find a sign that the the store is temporarily closing at 5pm for some period of time. Please update your online hours when this happens. I have wasted 45 minutes driving for nothing.

Frustrated with rewards points system

I found it frustrating that although I had rewards points they were not loaded into my account as I had thought they were. Very frustrating. Why can't they just be put into our accounts automatically. If we earned them, they should be ready to use once you give them to us.

Will never go to this location again, the only reason I came here was because my usual location was booked. my dog was scheduled for an 8 am bath today. We showed up on time. The store was locked & no staff was present inside. There was also 3 other dogs waiting who were all scheduled for an 8 am bath. Our dogs were waiting in the hot sun thinking someone will surely come let us in. Eventually I put my dog in the car with the A.C. I waited a little longer and still no one showed up. Very unprofessional. I left a voicemail and I have yet to hear back about the inconvenience they caused. Communication is key, and clearly they lack this.

Wonderful Grooming Experience!

In January 2022 I called and I was able to get a next day appointment with Harley (listed as Alexis D.) for Luna, my miniature mixed poodle. Harley was warm and sweet and I felt comfortable leaving Luna with her for the appointment. I showed Harley a picture of Luna with a cut another groomer had done before that I adored and Harley did exactly what I asked - Luna looked amazing!! I had only had Luna groomed once before at Petco on Parham Road in Richmond VA quite some time ago and I wasn't very pleased with the service so I never returned and found another groomer. Harley has definitely changed my mind and Luna will be seeing Harley again! Thank you Harley!! I was also greeted by Shelly when I arrived and although she didn't groom Luna she knelt down to spend time with her at check-in and Shelly was very nice too. Also, there was a young man working at the front desk who was also kind and even cleaned up behind Luna when she had a couple of accidents at check-in because she was nervous - I can't remember your name but thank you! All in all it was a wonderful experience - including the cashier Duncan (I think that was his name)!
