Many varieties of freshwater fish come in an array of colors, making it easy to customize your aquarium's look and feel. We carry an array of species from aggressive and semi-aggressive to schooling fish, so you can find the right fish to fit the size and style aquarium you want. First-time pet parents often choose to take home a betta, as they are beautiful to look at and make a great species for those getting started with aquarium keeping. In some states, we also carry other types of aquatic life, such as live plants and invertebrates.
Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Petco trip

I went to Petco with my wife (who is dying and is weak and sometimes not really able to understand what she is doing), and my daughter. We brought our two 25 pound Toy Poodles. They started in the carts and ended by walking on a leash! They loved it. My wife enjoyed the time out of the house and out of the bed! We spent too much but I loved that we were together and having fun. David

AWESOME GROOMER

I have been taking my very talkative big lab/shepherd mix and my blind golden retriever to be groomed by Ariel. Please give this girl some big PRAISE because she is amazing and so wonderful with my fur babies! Thank you Ariel for being such a wonderful stylist that I can trust and know they are taken care of..MANAGER OF PETCO PLEASE GIVE HER SOME BIG PROPS!

DOG GROOMING SERVICE TERRIBLE

The groomer refused to bath and cut my 5 month old Cockapoo saying his hair was matted. She was wrong. I combed his hair out in less than 5 mins. The groomer stated she already started another poodle in my dog’s time slot. My dog have curly hair. His hair was not matted. This groomer should know the difference and how to groom a curly hair dog. She was rude to me and mean to my puppy. I will never go back to that PETCO.

Great experience

Just moved to the area,it was the first time taking my dog to this Petco. I made an appt to get him groomed. At the end of the appt I noticed I lost his seresto flea/tick collar (expensive) which had an apple AirTag clipped to it as well. The app for the tracker kept telling me it was inside the store so Nathan A searched up and down the place for us. With no luck, he picked up a brand new seresto collar and told me to get in line with him cause he was paying for a new one!!! With his own money! I didn’t accept cause it was clearly my own fault and they are about $60 each! But I do not think this thoughtful person should go unseen by this company. Nathan deserves a raise!! ps: I found it smashed up in the parking lot as we had just given up and I was on my way back home.. haha. He was also the groomer for my pup and he looks fantastic I will definitely be back and requesting him. Thanks so much again Nathan!! I really appreciated it!
