Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Vital Care

Horrible there aren't full vet services in TN so it is a waste for the plan. Tried to call the customer service to get it cancelled and the only thing offered was that I could have rewards that I would never use. Could not get through to a supervisor and was told "one was not there." Definitely would not recommend.

Great Customer Service

Store employee Dakota at Murfreesboro, TN location was extremely patient and helpful when we purchased our Guinea pig. We brought our 3 kids in which was a little chaotic but he was great. This was our first time purchasing one and he helped us know what the essentials were down to what to feed her and how long her food and bedding should last. Hands down and good experience.

Service was rude

Store itself is fine but one particular employee by the name of Bail was very rude. He intruded on a conversation with the people I was with while we were looking at reptiles and proceeded to tell me, after hearing us make a comment about the snakes, that I was more likely to get a disease from my cute fluffy dog then one of the reptiles. After his unasked for opinion he shrugged and said just leaving you with that then sauntered away.
