Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

I rarely ask for help in a store but was considering purchasing a new product, so I did talk to an associate. She was knowledgeable and helpful and suggested a product that would work better for my cats’ needs.

I buy all my dogs supplies from this store, and the associates have been nothing but perfect, but my comment is regarding a groomer, I was in there this past Saturday to pick things up for my dog, and I happen to notice your groomer, she had a tiny terrier, black in color was being groomed by an African American female, this poor puppy was shaking and was literally scared and she wasn’t evening looking at this puppy to try to soothe this poor dog because she was on her phone, she wasn’t talking but she was either texting or reading, with her head completely turned in the opposite direction, I would be distraught if this was my dog being handled in this matter, still to this day, I am still thinking of this poor pooch scared and shaking, if this person was grooming my dog, I would stand at that window, because she didn’t comfort or reassure this poor dog, would appreciate a response

Awful delivery and customer seevice

I ordered dog food for delivery through the webpage as the hours for the store are impossible for working people to get too. Unfortunately my dog only eats a brand available by petco. Petco outsourced delivery to doordash but forgot the largest item in order- 25lb of dog food. Messaged doordash driver who said they were never given the food. Called the store and spoke to an employee, who told me the food was there. Her manager told me to call doordash myself and reorganize the new delivery (ha!). Called the customer service line and talked to someone who said she would call doordash and organize the delivery and communicate back with me regarding the delivery. Did not hear back, so called the customer service line again, who had no record of my first call and claimed my order had been delivered. Once he realized he was incorrect, he also claimed he would expedite my order and have it delivered next day. No order arrived. Called customer service again, on hold for 10mins before disconnected. Called again and Waited over 8 mins again for someone to answer. Did online chat support, and they supposedly refunded my order. Still can’t believe the manager told me to call doordash myself when the order was put through petco online. Never again

Worst Experience

I brought my 4 month teacup yorkie here for grooming, the usual bath, nails cut, and a trim. They didn’t cut his nails, they were overbooked & the waiting experience was awful! The way the guy who works in grooming spoke to me about why if his appointment is at 12 pm it would take 2 hrs? To groom him when it normally takes 20-30 mins for such a small dog. He replies,that maybe the other PetCo has nothing to do & we we work here. So rude & unprofessional I will NEVER bring my baby back here again! Poor, Poor, & more poor customer service!
