Many varieties of freshwater fish come in an array of colors, making it easy to customize your aquarium's look and feel. First-time pet parents often choose to take home a betta, as they are beautiful to look at and make a great species for those getting started with aquarium keeping. Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Groomer Brittany (be aware)

I’ve been going to Wally to have my yorkie groomed for 13 years. When Wally was first at Mount Vernon Sanford Petco. I loved his patience and understanding of my frightened yorkie, who doesn’t have a problem being groomed. Wally was amazing with him knew he knew how to handle him. Yes, he whimpered a little, but Wally always so lovingly groomed him without any issues. I later found out that Wally was transferred to Petco Gun Hill rd in The Bronx. I followed him. Wally continue to schedule grooming appointments for my yorkie, then later I found out that Wally went out on leave. Although, I continued to bring my yorkie to this establishment, for grooming while Wally was out on leave. I shopped for my fur babies necessities, I felt comfortable , with the dog groomers, that were scheduled for my fur baby grooming. Today I tried scheduling a dog grooming appointment on line, for some reason it wasn’t allowing me to book it. I attempted this 5 times! Then I tried calling, the phone rings no one picks up. I decided to go personally to book an appointment for my yorkie’s grooming. There was a new employee there a male, who was very very helpful. And very transparent, I explained to him the challenges that I was having trying to connect with this facility at Gun Hill road in The Bronx. He looked in the system and to my surprise, he began to explain to me that my email portal was blacklist and blocked!! By a groomer Brittany that reported, that Marley was uncooperative, vicious, unmanageable and I the owner (me) was a problem and unreasonable, aggressive!! The employee looking at the last history of the my yorkie grooming stated this!! I was shocked because it was Brittany that serviced him twice!!! Never ever did she mentioned to me that my fur baby was behaving badly!! I would even tip her when I went to pick up my yorkie!! I never heard her say anything negative. I was fortunate to see that Wally was there today. The employee went to him and spoke with him privately, inquiring about fur baby. Wally couldn’t understand why Brittany would write a note like this. Wally assured me that he was going to delete this untrue statement, there was never any issue or problems in the years I’ve been talking Marley to Wally.
