Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

policy is made up there on the spot.they will try and make up any reason why they can’t take your dog. would never attempt to go here again. even after wasting 20 minutes going back and forth she gets an african man in to try and harass me out of the store.

I try to support local

It is very nice to have a local store and I try to support them as much as possible. The only issue is that they are frequently out of the various dog foods that I purchase (I have 3 dogs in different stages of life). I usually end up getting something small and then ordering online.
