Many varieties of freshwater fish come in an array of colors, making it easy to customize your aquarium's look and feel. Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Petco Quality Overall had Drastically Declines

As a cat rescuer I routinely have 5-7 cats in my house, and I have shopped at PetCo for many years. Your inventory system is pathetic, forcing me to order most of my items at Chewy. The one thing I continue to buy is your 40 lb bag of litter. Yesterday I went in to buy it, finding none I asked Jessica where they are. She became very aggressive and argumentative about why they use all those bags to fill up the self service bin. She then informed me she is the General Manager. You have lost my business, and I will let the rescue community about this as well. Please fire Jessica, and I may come back to shop there again.

Refund return policy

Looks like it is Chewy all the way. Your return policy is over restrictive and it is hard to get back to your stores to do a return within 30 days. We just won’t bother with your stores any more

Was told my dog couldn’t be groomed on weekends when the salon was busy. I work so can’t always find a weekday time. They also said I would have to pay for VIP service. My dog is big but super mellow. Not worth the hassle!

Such a great selection. Everything I need, right away. From vet-recommended dog food brands (low ingredient) to a "I just got a cat" starter kit. We even decked-out our lizard tank.
