Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Aweful

I bought an antler bone, $21, as I am told that antlers are good for dogs and don't splinter. Wrong.! In two minutes this antler was in sharp, harmful to my dog, splinters. I tried to return the antler and get a refund thinking that this would be a no- brainer. Wrong again. The rather surly manager, John (would not give his last name) said no. He can't help what the dog does. Never mentioned that perhaps this was a faulty product. Wrong to you, if you shop here at ALL.

Worst dog grooming ever.

We are new to the area , live near petco so thought I’d give the grooming a try, biggest mistake ever. Worst dog grooming we’ve ever had- 9 year old golden doodle. Looks like I groomed her.

Poor customer service

We were in the pet section of the kirkwood hwy store trying to buy fish for company fish tank, it was nearing closing time but she helped a man who came in right before us . She saw us standing there and she didn't say he was going to be her last customer, we looked n picked out what fish we wanted. When she was done with the male customer she started cleaning up n totally ignored us like we weren't standing there until we asked her if she was going to wait on us. She said the store was closed n she wasn't going to wait on us. That was so rude and my business will never shop at petco again. I didn't get her name but she had pink highlights in here blonde hair. It was 7:50 pm on a sat. 9/16/22.

Good Evening as this all started in the AM w/an email from PETCO stating to place an order by 2pm and it's FREE delivery. Of course I'll jump on that offer. I placed my order of 3 items that was delivered at 3:47pm est and the young man gave a a very tiny little bag and I stated where's the rest as I'm pointing to the sticker that states ' 3 ' .. He said they'll have someone else deliver the rest??!! Yup .. so I called 302-636-0860 was blindly transferred to Anthony who immediately said THIS IS A DOORDASH SITUATION TO CONTACT THEM. Before I even attempted to ask for a tele number he included AND WE DONT HAVE THEIR NUMBER. TO GO CHECK GOOGLE!!...his exact words.. I said SAD BUT THANK YOU..I'LL CHECK GOOGLE..I asked my phone to call DOORDASH and the number was 855=973-1040..spoke to ?? she explained the order went directly through PETCO and DOORDASH has nothing to do w/this??!! she said I'll transfer you PETCO customer service..and guess what .. I was transferred back to the same store. and ANTHONY@302-636-0860 picked up..I said my name and order number but he was very familiar because I just hung up w/him just telling me that PETCO has nothing to do w/DOORDASH..( what a run around! ) the delivery driver was DENISE C...no tele number..but per ANTHONY whom stated that he can only offer: reorder for tomorrow .. delivery can be sent today but I must pay delivery fee .. PETCO will refund I'll see the funds in xyz days ( who cares! same day is what attracted me ) .. but all in all is the customer is the one NOT satisfied. The handler put ' 3 ' on the sticker but only brought one item. The store should have made accommodation and had it delivered the next day, which I mentioned but ANTHONY said I have to cancel to reorder. This is something customer service should have suffice easily by getting the items to me, the customer.
