Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

I signed my puppy up for puppy training and today was his first class and let me tell you Jill was absolutely amazing ! Not only was she great in training class she helped us find the right puppy food for our new puppy. Jill was super helpful and kind ! I cannot wait for our next puppy training class. Poor Service

Wanted to by 100 crickets. Cashier sent us to Mike in Aquatics. He was deep in a sale so we stood around for 10 mins before I approached him for help. Told us to look for a short-haired girl who should be near the crickets. Toured store and never saw short-haired girl. Stood there another 8 minutes and at no time did someone offer to help... we just left. Sad when you can't give your money to a business.

Just want to let Petco know they have an exceptional employee-Arielle. I came in with a specific request and she able to fulfill it!! She has a great attitude and is nice to talk with, I hope Petco recognizes they have a great one in her! So I’d give 5 stars for her, but I have to take one off for the fact that the paralyzing virus is still very prevalent in the cricket community. Also for the gross Dermistid beetles and larvae that you can get as “extras” when you buy crickets.

Amazing service!

My daughter and I were walking around petco while waiting for our laundry to dry a few shops down. We were approached by an associate named Jill. She checked to see if we needed any help and I let her know we were just looking around. She struck up conversation about the fish we were looking at and ended up asking us if we wanted to see the Guinea pigs, she took one out and showed my daughter. She was so excited and Jill absolutely made her night! These little acts of kindness are what the world needs more of. We will def be back when we decide to get our first pet!
