Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Geckos

I went to go look at the geckos which I own one and I've never seen a gecko as neglected as in the cypress location they were feed old worms with no type of fat inn them at all there tanks were dirty with there poop all over tails very very small from not getting feed good "worms" not being helped to shed properly Just a sad experience Broke my heart... hopefully next time I get the guts to go they r better keept or better feed at least

Grooming my puppy George

I went to the Westminster Store for my "first puppy" grooming... The girl there is inexperience and lazy. The first time I went, she didn't know how to read a vax paper, and input. She didn't know my puppy didn't need rabies shots yet. Still, she sent me to the Vetco for shots... very expensive, made a 2nd app. for grooming, now she complaint that the pup was agressive. Wow! I then left the store, they black listed my pup at all "Petcos". So, I went to "PetSmart" and right away they took my pup, and these girls had no trouble at all. Petco, very bad service!!

I went shopping for fish aquarium gravel , I accidently left my cell phone and went home . I started calling the stores I had visited 3 before visiting Petco Buena Park, Ca no one answered my calls to my phone ,finally Laurie from Petco Buena Park ,Ca answered and said " I was waiting for your call I have your phone safely held at the front check out and will hold it until you pick it up Thanks for shopping Petco Buena Park ,Ca ! Manager? Rude!

I was there at 6pm to pick-up an order that placed online in the morning. I didnt realize they didnt have one item I had ordered. I found a substitute at the store, checked the price; online was much cheaper that at store. I ordered it online and brought it up to the cashier to check it out. I explained what did and asked the lady who just opened up a counter, if i could check out the item brought over. She seemed irritated, and while checking it out, loudly told me that I couldn't do it next time, "we are not like Target, you have to let us pick it/shop it". I explained I was picking up an order and substituting one item they didnt shop. She was so loud cashier and the customer two stations down were looking at us, what was going on. Was embarrassing, like I stole something. I just said ok and walked away. I'm not shopping at this store again. Petsmart for next time. Cancelling my pet insurance and account as well. taking my business to Petsmart where I always and superior customer service.

LED fish light

Well cleaned and organized store. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great prices and sales. Great selection on pet supplies. Ended up buying a new light for my fish tank. I bought the 32 inch led light it works great. I took my whole fish tank beautifully.
