Hospital Medical Leader

Dr. Sarah Boller (she/her) is a Hospital Medical Leader with over 30 years of experience working with pets. She began as a grooming assistant, then pursued opportunities as a veterinary assistant and zoo volunteer and, after earning her veterinary degree, as a small animal practitioner and relief veterinarian.

Throughout her career, she has focused on leadership roles, with a particular interest in guiding veterinary teams toward excellence in care. She has also pursued advanced coursework in canine dentistry at Animal Dental Care and the Oral Surgery Veterinary Dental Training Center and has personal experience managing wounds, paralysis and feline thyroid conditions.

In 5th grade, Dr. Boller knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and she has pursued that dream ever since, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way. Determined and resilient, Dr. Boller’s path to becoming a veterinarian was one of persistence, and she graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Boller teaches Veterinary Nursing at Wichita State University Tech. She volunteers with local rescues, like the Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) and Kansas Humane Society (KHS), as well as serving as a consulting veterinarian for food safety programs. Dr. Boller is a mentor to other vets and works to connect and support community vet professionals.

Dr. Boller shares her life with three dogs (a Great Dane and two mixed-breed rescues) and three cats (including a Munchkin, an amputee and a rescue). She is also an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where she serves as a choir member and alternate delegate.
