Simparica TRIO® (sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: See Prescribing Information. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures. Simparica Trio contains sarolaner, a member of the isoxazoline class, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures in dogs with or without a history of neurologic disorders. The safe use of Simparica Trio has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. The most frequently reported adverse reactions in clinical trials were vomiting and diarrhea.

HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel)IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Following the use of HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel) in dogs, digestive and neurologic side effects and itching have been reported. Safe for puppies 6 weeks of age or older with no weight restrictions. All dogs should be tested for heartworm infection before starting a preventive program. NexGard® (afoxolaner)IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: NexGard® (afoxolaner) is for use in dogs only. Safe for use in puppies 8 weeks of age or older, weighing 4 pounds or more. The most frequently reported adverse reactions include vomiting, itching, lethargy, diarrhea, and lack of appetite. The safe use of NexGard in pregnant, breeding, or lactating dogs has not been evaluated. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. Hospital Medical Leader

Dr. Sarah Boller (she/her) is a Hospital Medical Leader with over 30 years of experience working with pets. She began as a grooming assistant, then pursued opportunities as a veterinary assistant and zoo volunteer and, after earning her veterinary degree, as a small animal practitioner and relief veterinarian.

Throughout her career, she has focused on leadership roles, with a particular interest in guiding veterinary teams toward excellence in care. She has also pursued advanced coursework in canine dentistry at Animal Dental Care and the Oral Surgery Veterinary Dental Training Center and has personal experience managing wounds, paralysis and feline thyroid conditions.

In 5th grade, Dr. Boller knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and she has pursued that dream ever since, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way. Determined and resilient, Dr. Boller’s path to becoming a veterinarian was one of persistence, and she graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Boller teaches Veterinary Nursing at Wichita State University Tech. She volunteers with local rescues, like the Wichita Animal Action League (WAAL) and Kansas Humane Society (KHS), as well as serving as a consulting veterinarian for food safety programs. Dr. Boller is a mentor to other vets and works to connect and support community vet professionals.

Dr. Boller shares her life with three dogs (a Great Dane and two mixed-breed rescues) and three cats (including a Munchkin, an amputee and a rescue). She is also an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where she serves as a choir member and alternate delegate.
