Petco does accept unwanted fish. If you have a healthy freshwater fish you can no longer care for, you can bring it to your local Petco for donation. It is wise to call ahead to check if that location is able to accept a fish donation at that time, as they may have limited space available for donated fish. Before you choose to adopt a fish or group of fish, make sure you know everything involved so you are fully prepared to care for your pets. Petco guarantees returns of freshwater aquatic life inside a designated time frame. For 30 days, you can receive a full refund for freshwater fish purchased in our Pet Care Centers. All fish should have a properly established habitat; a receipt is required, and we recommend providing a water sample with your return. By testing your water, we can help check if your tank is ready for another fish, or if it may need some work to prepare it for a new fish.

Amazing staff

My friend and I went to Petco today and we ran into the most wonderful staff she was kind helpful she saved us a lot of money and she was very informative we went in to spend $6 and I ended up spending $70 just because of her attitude so big shout out to Taylor at the fort o store if you ever have to go in there ask for her!!!

I simple went to the Fort Oglethorpe GA store to buy new harnesses for my pups. I was met by an employee named Raven. The employee was the best sales person I have met in over 20 years. Not only was she attentive to my needs but she actually knew her products and the exact location of all merchandise. Exceptional employee and far above the average. If you have to go to a pet supply store. This Petco is a must (Fort Oglethorpe) and do yourself a favor. Ask for Raven. You will not be dissapointed.

Again, for the 3rd.,time didn't have dog food. Shelves were empty, NO ONE.... offered any assistance.....did not c anyone until I walked out...still never ask " Can I help u find anything""... really.. maybe they need to just shut it down Poor excuse for a store.somebody needs to do better

Just walked out of store, was gonna buy some salt water fish. I ask cashier for someone, waited about 20 minutes. No one came. I seen about 5 workers and not one offered to help. Might be better off anyway, half the tanks were empty and most of them had at least 5 dead fish if not more in each tank. Hope you enjoy your lunch cashier. You seemed more worried about friends coming to visit then you did customers waiting for help. To bad petsmart or pet supermarket don't come to town and shut them down. On my way to Chattanooga or dalton where we have never had problems at petco or petsmar

I came in this one years ago screaming for help to stop my bird from bleeding to death>>They ran got the stuff I needed and saved the day! Feather's is alive and well. Prime example of how fond of animals they are. Very customer friendly.

suspicious activity in store.

Went in to look for Sheba products. A strange woman who I took at first to be an employee follows me around trying to sell me cat food she is evidently CARRYING AROUND. She followed me out of store into parking lot!! Do you have security here? They oughta be keener. There's no tellin' where the lady's pet foods came from. Good luck/skill with this issue.
